About the Role
We’re hiring a Web Developer to help build, refine, and scale a modern online casino guide and discovery platform tailored for Indian audiences. You’ll own end-to-end feature delivery—from planning and prototyping to implementation, testing, and optimization—while collaborating closely with UX, content, and analytics teams. The ideal candidate combines front-end craftsmanship with pragmatic back-end know-how, cares deeply about performance and accessibility, and communicates clearly in an async, remote-first environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Design & Implement Features: Translate product specs and wireframes into robust, maintainable components and services.
- Performance & Reliability: Optimize Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP), improve caching strategies, and monitor uptime and error budgets.
- Responsive UX: Ensure a consistent, polished experience across mobile, tablet, and desktop with careful attention to typography, spacing, and touch targets.
- SEO & Accessibility: Ship semantic HTML, structured data (where appropriate), and WCAG-aligned interfaces to improve discovery and inclusivity.
- Content Integrations: Collaborate with editorial teams to streamline CMS workflows, page templates, and reusable content blocks.
- Quality Assurance: Write unit/integration tests, participate in code reviews, and uphold clean Git workflows and CI checks.
- Analytics & Experimentation: Instrument events, analyze funnels, and run A/B tests to iterate toward better user outcomes.
- Security & Compliance: Follow best practices for input validation, authentication, and privacy, aligning with responsible gaming principles.
Tech Stack & Tools (Indicative)
- Front End: HTML5, CSS3 (utility-first or BEM), JavaScript/TypeScript, a modern framework (e.g., React/Vue)
- Back End: Node.js or PHP (framework experience welcome), REST/GraphQL APIs
- Build & Ops: Git, CI/CD pipelines, containerized dev or PaaS, CDN configuration, monitoring/logging tools
- Testing: Jest/Vitest, Playwright/Cypress, Lighthouse/WebPageTest for performance audits
Experience in adjacent stacks is welcome; a strong engineering mindset matters more than a specific tool.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one back-end/runtime (e.g., Node.js or PHP).
- Proven track record delivering responsive, performant interfaces and improving CWV metrics.
- Familiarity with SEO-aware development (semantic markup, internal linking patterns, metadata hygiene).
- Experience integrating with a CMS and building reusable UI patterns/components.
- Comfort with Git workflows, code reviews, and automated testing.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills suited to a remote job setting.
- Curiosity about the online gambling industry and player-centric design for comparison/review experiences.
Nice to Have
- TypeScript in production, design systems, and component libraries.
- Accessibility expertise (WCAG 2.1 AA), i18n/l10n for Indian audiences.
- Experience with analytics tooling, event schemas, and experimentation platforms.
- Exposure to security hardening, rate limiting, and privacy-by-design practices.
How You’ll Work
This role is remote-first and outcomes-driven. You’ll break projects into iterative releases, communicate status proactively, and collaborate across time zones using modern tooling. You’ll partner with designers and editors to balance brand, readability, and conversion goals—shipping small, frequent improvements that compound into meaningful gains.
Success Metrics (KPIs)
- Performance: Improved LCP/INP/CLS and faster page loads across device classes.
- Quality: Reduction in production errors, improved test coverage, and stable CI pipelines.
- Engagement: Higher scroll depth, CTR on key CTAs, and improved time on page.
- SEO Signals: Healthier crawl stats, better index coverage, and incremental ranking gains for targeted pages.
- Velocity: Predictable delivery with clear scoping, estimates, and retrospectives.
Your First 90 Days
- Days 1–30: Environment setup, audit of CWV, routing, and template structure; ship small fixes and a performance quick-wins patch.
- Days 31–60: Lead a feature slice (new page template or component library refactor); add monitoring dashboards; raise test coverage.
- Days 61–90: Deliver a cross-device UX improvement project; implement an experimentation loop; document a front-end performance playbook.
What We Offer
- A pivotal role in shaping a high-traffic consumer platform used by players across India.
- Flexible, remote work with a culture that values autonomy, clarity, and craftsmanship.
- Collaboration with experienced designers, editors, and marketers who care about user value.
- Competitive compensation and room for growth in scope and ownership.
- A supportive environment that prizes clean code, thoughtful design, and measurable outcomes.
Equal Opportunity
We value inclusivity and equal opportunity. Applicants are evaluated based on skills, integrity, and the ability to deliver excellent results—regardless of background or identity.
